Kent Sinfonia’s aim is to take live music to all.
In Diamond Jubilee Year, we are asking our musicians to participate in extending our music performances with a special project planned to take music to people in care homes and hospices throughout Kent, hoping to enhance their quality of life through the medium of music.  Kent Sinfonia string, wind and brass ensembles will all be involved in these performances.

We will continue our overseas exchange, which began at the beginning of 2012 with our first tour to China with a schedule of 10 concert performances, with a second invitation to perform in China with 12 or more concerts, thereby enhancing cultural and diplomatic links through the medium of music, an international language we all understand.

We aim to continue and expand our education outreach projects with further performances and specialist workshops linked to these. Examples include:
A planned partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University, including concerts, master classes, workshops, mentoring etc.

Opera performance projects involving schools’ participation.

String/wind/brass ensemble workshop projects (including ‘hands-on/try out’ sessions) for schools.
